Job summary
ISD 622 Beaver Lake invites a 1:1 Registered Nurse I to triage student health concerns, plan for students with health conditions, and manage health needs of the assigned student. Must be comfortable with tracheostomy care.
You will collaborate with school staff to administer medications per orders, maintain health records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and MN laws while supporting families and the school community.
Qualifications
- MN RN license required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Valid driver's license for in-district travel.
- Knowledge of state and federal health laws and regulations.
- Commitment to confidentiality for students and staff.
- Ability to collaborate with school personnel and community.
Responsibilities
- Delegate nursing procedures to school staff per MN Nurse Practice Act.
- Ensure compliance with ISD 622 policies and health laws.
- Participate in research and evaluation of school health services.
- Administer medications per physician orders and parent authorization.
- Communicate medication policies to parents and maintain health records.
- Monitor student health status and maintain health data for access.
- Support immunization programs, early detection, and reporting.
- Refer to families and community resources as needed.
