Job summary

Nurses and More is seeking a LPN or RN for a 1:1 pediatric private duty nursing role in a Charlotte-area school. Work hours are 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday, with no nights or weekends. This position supports the student at the school, with the same student every day, in a full-time or shared part-time arrangement.

The role pays $33/hour for LPN and $39/hour for RN, with pay based on licensure. The assignment runs for the 2026-2027 school year in the Charlotte area, 28105.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered LPN or RN license (NC license required if NC resident).
• LPN: 1 year of related LPN experience in last 3 years (pediatrics, home care, long-term care, acute care, or private duty nursing).
• RN: 1 year of related RN experience in last 3 years, or 1 year of related LPN experience in last 3 years.
• CPR: In-person course certification required (not online-only).
• Online assessments: Willingness to complete online assessments.
• Newly licensed RN after LPN: prior LPN experience may satisfy the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Stand-by assistance with walking and transfers.
• Close safety monitoring and fall prevention (falls are frequent).
• Monitoring for seizure-like episodes.
• Neuro checks as indicated.
• Documenting care on a tablet.
