Campbell County Health in Gillette, Wyoming seeks a Patient Sitter to supervise patients and provide compassionate care before and after treatment and during long inpatient stays. They may transport patients and collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and other care staff to ensure safety and companionship.
Essential duties include alerting nurses, maintaining a safe environment, accurately documenting patient behaviors, and respecting patient confidentiality.
A Patient Sitter supervises patients and provides compassionate care before and after treatment and during long inpatient stays. Patient sitters may also be required to transport patients. These professionals replace older forms of patient supervision like restraints and seclusion rooms. Patient sitters work in conjunction with the various patient care Managers, Directors, and Clinical Care Supervisor, House Supervisors, RNs, AND CNAs to ensure safety and companionship to help patients through challenging medical issues. The Patient Sitter will communicate patient safety needs by accurately documenting patient behaviors. The Patient Sitter’s work is reflective of CCH mission, vision and values.
