Buna Independent School District is seeking a 1:1 Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for Special Education to provide direct nursing care and health-related support to a designated student. This role ensures the student’s health, safety, and participation in school activities while promoting independence.

Qualifications

• Valid LVN license in Texas and current CPR/First Aid certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• District-provided training on student health, safety, and emergency procedures.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to the assigned student throughout the school day.
• Implement health care plans and physician-ordered treatments.
• Monitor health status and respond to changes or emergencies.
• Administer medications per orders and district policies with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, health staff, and families to support instructional needs.
• Maintain confidential health records and comply with FERPA and privacy rules.
