Yukon Public Schools Yukon High School in Yukon, Oklahoma is seeking a Paraeducator 1:1 LIFE to support students with severe/moderate disabilities in a LEAP/RISE/LIFE/ABLE setting. The role involves collaboration with certified staff, direct instruction, and providing personalized assistance.

Starting immediately, the position is a 10-month contract, 7-hour days, 174 work days, with pay at $15.09 per hour. The district requires a high school diploma, CPR, Paraprofessional certifications, 48

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
48 college hours, associate's degree, or be able to complete WorkKeys tests within 60 days of hire date.
Will be required to successfully complete Paraprofessional training provided by the district.
CPR Certification.
Oklahoma Tier II Paraprofessional Certification.

Responsibilities

Prepare for classroom activities under supervision of certified teacher.
Assist teacher with instructional classroom duties.
Assists teacher with non-instructional classroom duties, including feeding, tube feeding, toileting(including changing diapers), clothing management, and transitions between classrooms and activities.
Assists with an individual child's particular needs when called upon to do so.
Performs clerical duties for assigned teacher.
Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may assign from timeto time.
