Job summary

The San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant III to provide 1:1 support for students with moderate to severe needs at Arlington Heights. The position is 6 hours per day (0.75 FTE).

Candidates must attach a High School Diploma or equivalent and one document from the required tests (IA Proficiency Test or CBEST). Passing these tests is required regardless of educational background.

Qualifications

• Experience with severe/emotionally disturbed students
• Willingness/ability to obtain California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire if required
• Proficiency in child development coursework is desirable

Responsibilities

• Support our ED students in 1:1 and small group settings
• Assist with behavior management and learning activities as part of the instructional team
