Job summary

Lake Stevens School District is seeking a 1:1 General Ed paraeducator. The paraeducator will work under a building administrator and licensed staff to support instruction and student supervision.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, managing behavior plans, health room support, light clerical tasks, and assisting medically fragile students or those with special needs. Requirements include two years of college study, an associate degree or higher, and passing the ETS

Qualifications

• Two years of study at an institution of higher education is required.
• Associates degree or higher is required.
• Passing the ETS ParaPro Assessment is required.

PARAEDUCATOR GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction and supervision of a building administrator, and under the supervision of licensed/certificated staff, all paraeducators perform tasks related to the instruction and supervision of students, prepare instructional materials, carry out behavior management plans, provide general health room support, perform limited clerical and reception tasks, provide personal health related services for medically fragile students or students with special needs, and other relative duties as assigned by supervisor.
