Job summary

Cosmo 1:1, an online learning platform, connects K-12 students with tutors for personalized lessons. You will teach ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong, with a flexible, set schedule for 50-minute 1 on 1 sessions.

This independent contractor role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of teaching experience. A TEFL is preferred. Availability is 6–9 AM EST, Monday–Friday, or weekends, with at least 20 hours weekly and reliable internet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3+ years teaching K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.
• Fast and reliable internet connection and a PC (Windows or Mac).
• Available 6-9 AM EST Mon-Fri or weekends; minimum 20 hours weekly.
• Commitment to at least 6 months with Cosmo 1:1.
• Currently located in the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
