Job summary

Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. is hiring a Sales Associate for CosmoProf in South San Francisco, CA. You will be a shopping experience advisor, assisting with hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails, while promoting loyalty programs and promotions.

You will participate in product knowledge training and execute sales with accuracy, handling cash and maintaining store standards. This is a part-time role with flexible hours and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 1+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
• Able to meet scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly with customers, co-workers and management.
• Ability to apply product knowledge in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and inspire loyalty with customers and vendors.
• Recommend additional and complimentary products.
• Inform customers of promotions and events.
• Set up displays and arrange merchandise for promotions.
• Ensure customers are enrolled in the Loyalty program.

The Sales Associate will focus on one primary objective – creating a memorable shopping experience for our customers. Your role at CosmoProf:

• Build relationships and inspire loyalty while working with customers and vendors.
• Recommend additional and complimentary products.
• Inform customers of current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Ensure our customers are informed about and enrolled in our Loyalty program.
• Complete cash and other monetary transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and inventory management while communicating any inventory issues.
• Demonstrate our CosmoProf Culture Values and adhere to our company code of ethics and behavior.
• Trusted with Company Assets and Technology and expected to maintain accurate records as it pertains to the business.
• We have a range of different working schedules and hours to suit everyone’s needs.
• Occasionally you may be required to make bank deposits and open or close the store.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must 18 years of age or older
• 1 + years retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate with customers, co-workers, and management in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to execute knowledge from product knowledge training to support with customer service.
• Can read and explain product labels.
• Can follow direction and perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

Legal wants you to know:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• May be exposed to fumes and odors upon occasion.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

The position requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines, and may occasionally include exposure to irritant chemicals.
