Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with fundamentals in hardware design.
• 1–3 years experience in engineering roles related to hardware design or similar.
• Experience reviewing customer documentation and translating requirements into technical plans.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and implement hardware solutions across multiple areas; lead small projects and coordinate with engineers.
• Review customer documentation and perform research, analysis and experiments with minimal supervision.
• Create technical proposals with timelines based on requirements.
• Design, modify and implement systems meeting customer Celestica standards; prepare schematics, BOMs and drawings.
• Provide manufacturing support and liaise with suppliers, customers and internal teams.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Design, develop and implement technical solutions in two or more technical areas. Lead smaller projects and may coordinate with other engineers including reviews of their work.
• Review and interpret customer documentation, conduct appropriate research, analysis and experiments with minimal direction from senior staff.
• Creates technical proposals (solution and timelines) based on requirements.
• Research systems ideas and will draw up plans for these systems
• Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs.
• Create designs in line with Celesticas procedures, regulations and customer standards
• Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
• Solve complex problems
• Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
• Recommend system modifications

Electrical:

• Creation of Schematics, Bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.
• Analysing and interpreting data and information
• Creating reports and documentation

Mechanical:

• Prepare calculations on the proposed solution before completing technical drawings. Sketch and draw up designs using input from other engineers, requirements and input from design review (DFx) team
• Calculate factors like tolerance, dimensions, and thermal and structural analysis
• Submit drawings to management, engineering teams and customers for review.
• Provide support during the manufacturing process
• Finalize designs and send prints to the production department

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
• Occasional travel may be required.
