Job summary

Celestica, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technician in Quality to support in-process and first article assessments, drive root cause analysis, and uphold manufacturing quality standards across the line. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure conformance and continuous improvement.

This role emphasizes problem solving, data gathering, and effective communication with internal customers while leveraging Spectrum Pro and EtQ quality systems to document and manage quality actions.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years in a similar role or industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality and manufacturing standards.
• Experience with Spectrum Pro and EtQ quality systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and reports in process and product first layer assessment.
• Performs activities related to the Key process and product characteristics, gives feedback for improvements.
• Supports and verifies the identification and processing of internal non-conforming materials for proper disposition.
• Ensures that the implemented changes and corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues are respected in the manufacturing line.
• Actively participating in root cause analysis and solving problems.
• Performs First Article Assessment activities.
• Supports internal, industry and customer audits as required.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.
• Supports and performs the RMA qual activities.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in providing quality and functional guidance and ability to demonstrate work methods to new employee.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of quality and manufacturing standards.
• Strong knowledge of computer applications and the ability to perform tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of shop floor control and quality management documentation systems such as Spectrum Pro, EtQ.
• Skills for evaluating, gathering data, diagnosing and solving problems encountered in the manufacturing.
