Detailed Description

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Verification: Perform and document incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, key product characteristics, and quality inspection procedures.

First Article Inspection (FAI): Execute First Article Assessments for new parts and revisions to validate supplier manufacturing capabilities.

Calibration Management: Perform and oversee the calibration of precision measurement tools and equipment, ensuring all tools on the shop floor remain in compliance. Complete all calibration paperwork including impact analysis reports.

Non-Conformance Handling: Identify, segregate, and process internal non-conforming materials (DMR) for proper disposition. Support quality activities related to Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).

Corrective Action Validation: Work with the quality team to compete verifications and validations related to corrective actions (CAPAs) or other non-conformances to ensure they are actively followed and sustained.

Continuous Improvement & Audits: Support internal, ISO, and customer audits. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality processes.

Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot defects and anomalies during visual and mechanical inspections.

Inspection & Calibration Skills: Proven ability to perform precise measurements and tool calibrations using standard metrology equipment.

Quality Standards: Solid understanding of quality management systems, manufacturing standards, and shop floor control documentation.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving quality deviations encountered in the manufacturing environment.

Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google applications.

Communication: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to exercise good judgment while effectively communicating quality guidance to internal teams.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand for extended periods, perform visual inspections, and occasionally lift/move materials as required by standard incoming inspection duties.

Typical Education

High school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and a commitment towards further / additional education.
AS Degree or BS/BA degree preferred.
