Qualifications

• Previous experience as a continuous improvements engineer is essential.
• Must have 15+ years of advanced manufacturing and engineering experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership role to deliver transformational performance.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To identify, evaluate, justify, implement and demonstrate improvements to product and manufacturing methods, with a particular expertise within Brazing and Welding methodologies.


• To interpret and analyse production data, draw summaries and produce reports to assist operational decisions, assess costings, identify resource allocation and demonstrate overall business performance.


• Provide technical support to welding manufacturing operations

The Candidate

• Previous experience of working as a continuous improvements engineer


• Background in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma techniques (e.g. 5S, SMED, Kaizen, Poke Yoke, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping and TPM)


• 15 + years of advanced manufacturing and engineering experience


• Have worked for 5+ years in a leadership role delivering transformational performance

Skills / Expertise

• Welding Methodologies - TIG, ARC, MIG and Gas Welding


• 1st tier automotive or OEM level experience
