Karluna Engineering was founded in 2022 in İzmir and specializes in electric vehicle production. Karluna Engineering will begin production of L7E class light commercial vehicles in İzmir/Aliağa at the beginning of 2026.
We are seeking a talented Test Engineer to join our expanding team. This role is critical for the validation and verification of vehicle control units and vehicle-level functions in our high-performance electric vehicle projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in system, hardware, or embedded software testing, preferably in the automotive or electric vehicle industry.
- Experience in preparing and executing test plans, test cases, and test procedures based on requirements.
- Hands‑on experience with embedded systems and ECU testing (e.g. VCU, BMS, OBC, TCU, instrument cluster, etc.).
- Practical experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN; familiarity with tools like CANoe, CANalyzer, or similar.
- Ability to use laboratory measurement and diagnostic equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply, signal generator, etc.).
- Experience in logging, analyzing, and reporting test results; ability to clearly document defects and follow up with development teams.
- Familiarity with issue tracking and task management tools (e.g. Jira or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a structured and detail‑oriented working style.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with HIL/SIL test environments, ECU test benches, or automated test setups.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE, or similar automotive standards and their impact on testing activities.
- Basic scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, MATLAB) for test automation, data processing, and report generation.
- Familiarity with UDS/diagnostic protocols, OBD, and vehicle diagnostics tools.
- Understanding of telematics and connectivity (TCP/IP, MQTT, GNSS, LTE) and their impact on test scenarios.
- Experience with continuous integration / continuous testing concepts and tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams (System, Hardware, Software, Production) and communicate test findings clearly and constructively.
- Strong sense of ownership, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic R&D environment.
