Job summary

Vodafone Group Plc in Istanbul, Türkiye, is seeking a System Integration Manager to coordinate OpenRAN releases across multiple vendors and internal teams. You will govern third-party integrators, ensure interoperability of OpenRAN components, and oversee end-to-end testing in vendor labs and live environments.

You will leverage CI/CD practices, automate testing, and drive robust release management, focusing on performance, security, and reliability across Vodafone deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in system integration and release management.
• Knowledge of OpenRAN technologies, standards and interfaces.
• Proven track record of multi-vendor integration projects and complex release processes.
• Strong understanding of automated testing, deployment tools, and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.

Responsibilities

• Interface between vendors and internal Vodafone teams to ensure successful software releases.
• Governance of 3rd party system integrators and end-to-end testing across vendor labs and SI environments.
• Ensure interoperability of all OpenRAN elements including radios, COTS and network management systems.
• Verify interfaces and adherence to open standards; maintain MOPs for deployable elements.
• Drive collaboration with technology partners and OpenRAN forums to share best practices.

This includes:- Collaboration and Coordination of OpenRAN release schedules in conjunction with the OpenRAN vendors to ensure a timely delivery of Major and Minor releases.o Foster a collaborative ecosystem to streamline communication and problem-solving across stakeholders.o Close interaction with Vodafone Package and Release manager throughout the process.- Governance of the 3rd Party System Integrators End-to-end testing (in vendor labs and 3rd Party SI environment) to validate functionality, performance, security and reliability representative of Vodafone deployments.o Ensuring integration of hardware and software from multiple vendors to form a cohesive OpenRAN package.o Ensuring interoperability of all OpenRAN elements, including radios, COTS, CaaS and network management systemso Interface verification to confirm adherence to open standards- Validation of OpenRAN readiness for commercial service, maintaining operational performance and reliability through robust system release management processes.o Ensure availability of MOPs covering all aspects of the package and its deployable elements (Data Centre, RAN, etc).o Ensure that releases from vendors are of sufficient quality when GA status is claimed by vendors - managing commercial and contractual milestones associated to GA release.- Influence and leverage collaborations through our technology, partners and OpenRAN industry forums for Product Integration best practices, Network Services, solutions, Support and E2E testing.o Leverage automation tools - both internally and externally - for testing, deployment, and monitoring to enhance efficiency and consistency.o Investigate and Champion ideas around Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices to support ongoing integration and release cycles across vendorso Stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices in OpenRAN, system integration, and release management.o Future interoperability and compatibility of new OpenRAN components, such as RIC, SMO, etc- Drive Year on year cost reduction and process/platform efficiency improvements## **Who you are**'Core competencies, knowledge and experience:- 5+ years of experience in system integration and release management, preferably in telecommunications.- Strong contract and commercial understanding- Knowledge of OpenRAN technologies, standards, and interfaces.- Proven track record of managing multi-vendor integration projects and complex release processes.- Strong understanding of automated testing, deployment tools, and CI/CD practices.- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple complex topics simultaneously.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.Key performance indicators:- Successful Integration of hardware and software from multiple vendors to form a cohesive OpenRAN package- Development of End-to-end System Integration methodologies.- Development of robust, scalable systems for lab through to live development- Year on year cost reduction and process/platform efficiency improvements- Time to Fix Product Issues.- Risk ManagementNo Direct reports: none but lead of virtual teams from vendors and other Vodafone teams will be essential to the roleWe like to keep them flexible:- Vflexy: Flexible Benefits Program- Hybrid working kit- Ergonomic kit allowance- Digital meal voucher- Flexible transportation allowance.- Employee assistance hotline & counselling- Comprehensive and flexible private health insurance- Discounted price deals for wide range of products & servicesInstagram:Youtube:Data PrivacyBy applying for this job, you accept the Vodafone Privacy Policy.
