Job summary

Evofone is seeking a Senior Software Team Lead in Marmara Region to architect the next-generation e-commerce platform and guide a 4–5 person engineering team from the ground up. This role combines hands-on development with strategic decisions to drive the platform forward.

You will own architecture, oversee microservices, RESTful APIs, and integrations with payment systems, while ensuring scalable, robust software delivery across the stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, SE or equivalent.
• 5+ years of active development experience in e-commerce or high-traffic web platforms.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks.
• Depth in backend architecture across Node.js/.NET/PHP/Java ecosystems.
• Experience with Microservices architecture and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Architect Evofone's next-gen platform and lead technical direction.

Evofone is one of Turkey's leading online electronics retail platforms, offering a wide range of smartphones, smart home products, and lifestyle technology. We are embarking on a major digital transformation — building a fully custom, in-house e-commerce platform from the ground up.

We are seeking a Senior Software Team Lead to architect Evofone's next-generation e-commerce platform, lead the end-to-end development process, and build and manage a 4-5 person engineering team from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will be writing code alongside making strategic technical decisions.

Must-Have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent discipline
• Minimum 5 years of active development experience in e-commerce or high-traffic web platforms
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks
• Strong backend development experience in a modern server-side ecosystem such as Node.js/NestJS, C#/.NET Core, PHP (Laravel/Symfony), or Java — we care more about depth, architectural judgment, and clean design than about a specific language.
• Experience with Microservices architecture
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL) and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with Redis for caching and session management
• Experience with message queue systems (RabbitMQ or similar)
• Experience with Docker and container-based development/deployment
• Proficiency in Git and Git workflows (branching, merging, pull requests)
• Experience with RESTful API design and third-party service integrations
• Experience integrating payment systems (virtual POS, payment service providers)
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle

Nice-to-Have

• E-commerce SEO optimization knowledge (SSR, Core Web Vitals)
• Experience with Couchbase or NoSQL databases
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in e-commerce.
• CI/CD pipeline setup experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
