Job summary

Cobe Studio in Istanbul is hiring an iOS developer to own mobile features end to end, from the first sketch to the release that lands in someone's pocket. You will ship native iOS apps using Swift/SwiftUI, collaborating with design and AI, and delivering features that users see within weeks.

You will integrate AI-powered capabilities with on-device and server models, while maintaining performance and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of professional experience in iOS development with Swift and SwiftUI
• Hands-on experience building and shipping a SwiftUI app to TestFlight, the App Store, or a client
• Experience building, maintaining, and improving mobile applications
• Solid understanding of Git workflows: branches, pull requests, code review
• Understanding of mobile app fundamentals: state management, networking, debugging, and release quality
• Real deployment experience, or a strong desire to gain it
• Eagerness to build AI-powered apps, with hands-on exposure to LLM APIs or a clear drive to get it
• Experience or strong exposure to AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
• Curiosity, ownership, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced product environment

Based in Istanbul, Cobe builds AI-powered apps designed for everyday use. The company’s focus is on practical tools that make daily tasks easier — helping people study, work, and organize their lives more efficiently, without replacing the thinking or creativity behind them.

Menthor is Cobe’s AI-powered study app, built to go further than typical study tools on the market. Upload your slides, notes, or any material, and Menthor turns it into a personalized study system — generating custom quizzes at your chosen difficulty level, grading your answers, and identifying exactly which topics you need to focus on most. Study solo or with friends, track your progress over time, and let Menthor guide you toward what actually needs work — not just what you’ve already covered.

You would own whole areas of the work, make the calls inside them, and see them in people’s hands within weeks. Nothing goes out before it is right.

We ship native, so you should be comfortable in Swift or Kotlin, and care about the small things that make an app feel right on a phone. You will work closely with design and AI, and see your work in people’s hands within weeks.

AI is part of how we build, not just what we build. You should be fluent with AI tools — for code, for content, for the parts of the job that used to eat a week — and able to tell a good output from a passable one.

What You'll Bring

• 1-4 years of professional experience in iOS development with Swift and SwiftUI, or a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with a strong portfolio.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping a SwiftUI app - to TestFlight, the App Store, or a client.
• Experience building, maintaining, and improving mobile applications.
• Solid understanding of Git workflows: branches, pull requests, code review.
• Understanding of mobile app fundamentals: state management, networking, debugging, and release quality.
• Real deployment experience, or a strong desire to gain it - taking an app to production and owning what comes after: monitoring, maintenance, and fixing what breaks.
• Eagerness to build AI-powered apps, with hands-on exposure to LLM APIs or a clear drive to get it.
• Experience or strong exposure to AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, with the ability to clearly explain how you use them in your workflow.
• Curiosity, ownership, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced product environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with Supabase, Firebase, or any backend development.
• Familiarity with Mixpanel, Vercel, RevenueCat, or similar tools in the mobile app ecosystem.
• Understanding of analytics, experimentation, and A/B testing.
• Experience with App Store releases, CI/CD, or mobile performance optimization.
• Experience with unit testing in Xcode.
• Experience building products for students or a younger audience.
