Job summary

Damen Shipyards Antalya is seeking an experienced Paint Supervisor to lead surface preparation and painting activities across vessel projects at our Antalya yard. The role requires coordinating shipyard and subcontractor teams, ensuring safe, efficient execution in line with Damen standards and project specs.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in shipbuilding painting, with leadership and documentation skills, and proficiency in coordinating inspections with client representatives.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.
• Previous shipbuilding experience is mandatory; candidates without shipbuilding experience will not be considered.
• AMPP CIP Level 2 certification is preferred.
• Hands-on experience coordinating surface preparation, paint application, and related quality control activities.
• Experience supervising production teams and/or subcontractors.
• Experience working with third-party inspectors and client representatives.
• Good technical understanding of surface preparation, paint application processes, coating systems, inspection requirements, and production practices.
• Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate inspection findings and required corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate surface preparation and painting activities across vessel projects.
• Plan and monitor paint activities in line with project schedules, production priorities, and quality requirements.
• Supervise shipyard paint teams and subcontractor personnel.
• Ensure all painting activities comply with Damen standards, work instructions, drawings, and project requirements.
• Monitor quality and maintain inspection records.
