What You'll Bring To Our Team
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
- 5+ years of proven experience developing projects with C++/Python programming languages
- 3+ years of proven experience in at least one of the machine learning frameworks and computer vision libraries
- Proficiency with Debian-based Linux distributions (primarily Ubuntu)
- Practical and theoretical knowledge in at least one or more areas of the following: perception, image processing, object detection, pointcloud processing
- Familiarity with the ROS ecosystem, including sensor drivers, message synchronization, and the navigation stack
- Experience with depth sensing and 3D perception using stereo cameras and/or 3D LiDAR.
- Experience writing efficient, real-time code for resource-constrained embedded hardware
- Proven experience writing efficient, high-performance code (Online code repository link required)
- Experience with Git and GitHub
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in both spoken and written English
Nice to Have
- Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience with computer vision libraries like OpenCV and PCL
- Familiarity with inference engines and model optimization techniques (e.g. OpenVINO, ONNX Runtime, quantization, pruning; TensorRT a plus)
- Experience with edge computing platforms such as NVIDIA
- JetsonStrong background in deep learning model training on GPUs
- Simulation experience, particularly using NVIDIA IsaacSim
- Coordinate transforms and 3D geometry, including tf2 in ROS, for estimating object pose relative to a moving robot base
- Experience with sensor fusion, such as combining LiDAR and camera data or fusing perception with odometry
- Experience with classical/geometric pose estimation methods such as ICP, pointcloud registration, and feature matching
- Proficiency in working with Docker and recent Ubuntu distributions
- Cloud computing experience, preferably with AWS
- Experience implementing and adapting published research papers
