Job summary

Çalık Enerji is seeking a Civil Group Chief to lead daily site civil works at the Iraq Erbil Wastewater Treatment Plant Project. You will coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and construction crews to maintain progress, safety and quality in line with drawings and specifications.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, 15+ years in industrial projects, at least 5 years in wastewater plant construction, strong leadership, proficiency in English, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in industrial projects.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in wastewater treatment plant construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, infrastructure, and plant construction practices.
• Extensive on-site (construction) management and supervision experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction management tools.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel, and experience in Iraq is a strong asset.
• Advanced level of English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily site civil works for the project.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure project progress.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, safety, and quality standards.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure proper implementation of reinforced concrete, infrastructure, and finishing works on-site.
• Resolve technical and construction-related issues in coordination with the project management team.
• Support QA/QC and HSE teams in achieving compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in planning and scheduling of civil works to align with overall project timelines.
