Job summary

ING Hubs Türkiye is seeking a Digital Asset Security Engineer to design, implement and secure ING’s digital asset technology capabilities. You will work on wallet infrastructure, key management, cryptographic controls, custody models, and smart contract security.

This is a hands‑on engineering role blending cyber security and digital asset technology in a regulated banking environment, with a hybrid work model and collaboration across global teams.

Design the future architecture of one of Europe's most innovative banking networks while empowering engineers to do their best work.

Role Summary

As a Digital Asset Security Engineer, you will help design, implement, and secure ING’s digital asset technology capabilities. You will work on security‑critical components such as wallet infrastructure, key management, cryptographic controls, custody models, smart contract security, transaction authorization, secure signing, tokenization platforms, and blockchain integrations.

This is a hands‑on engineering role for someone who understands both cyber security and digital asset technology. You will collaborate with digital asset engineers, blockchain engineers, architects, cyber security teams, risk, compliance, legal, product owners, and global technology squads.

Your mission is to make sure ING’s digital asset platforms are secure by design, resilient by default, auditable, compliant, and ready for production in a regulated banking environment.

Work Model

About You

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solution design, or architecture roles
• Strong stakeholder management experience across business and technology domains
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
• Experience working in Agile organizations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• Fluent English communication skills (C1 level or above)

Technical Skills

• Strong background in cyber security, secure software engineering, platform security, or cryptographic systems.
• Understanding of blockchain and digital asset fundamentals, including: Wallets and addresses , Public/private key cryptography, Digital signatures, Transaction signing, Smart contracts, Tokens, Blockchain nodes, Custody models
• Experience with secure coding, threat modelling, vulnerability management, penetration testing, or security architecture.
• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, event‑driven architecture, cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Understanding of IAM, privileged access management, secrets management, encryption, logging, monitoring, and audit trails.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in banking, financial services, payments, capital markets, securities, custody, or wholesale banking.
• Experience with digital assets, tokenization, stablecoins, CBDCs, tokenized deposits, or blockchain‑based settlement.
• Hands‑on experience with HSMs, MPC platforms, wallet infrastructure, or custody technology providers.
• Experience with smart contract security tools such as Slither, Mythril, Foundry, Echidna, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Ethereum, EVM chains, Hyperledger Besu, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, Quorum, or permissioned blockchain networks.
• Experience with cryptographic protocols, secure enclaves, threshold signatures, distributed key generation, or zero‑knowledge proofs.
• Experience with security certifications, standards, and frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, CIS, OWASP, or cloud security benchmarks.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, GIAC, CEH, cloud security certifications, or blockchain security certifications are a plus.
