Job summary

Turing seeks a physics-strong contractor to help push the boundaries of AI via high-quality physics problem design and gold-standard data creation. You will collaborate with LLM researchers to shape evaluation benchmarks and address model limitations, spanning topics from undergraduate to PhD level.

The role is remote, requires 4+ hours daily with PST overlap, and runs for 12 weeks. A PhD in Physics or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in Physics or related technical field.
• Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, or analytical roles is preferred but not required.
• Commitment: at least 4 hours per day, up to 40 hours/week, with 4 hours overlap with PST.

Responsibilities

• Design and solve challenging physics problems to stress test large language models.
• Create gold-standard data: detailed, step-by-step solutions with clear reasoning.
• Collaborate with LLM researchers to align task designs with evaluation goals and identify model weaknesses.
• Help define evaluation benchmarks across physics topics from undergraduate to PhD level.
