Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Pod Lead Material Science for a contract role supporting remote work in AI-driven materials research. You will lead a small team of trainers, oversee the development and review of scientific tasks, and ensure the quality and reproducibility of code and results.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Materials Science, is proficient in Python and at least one of C/C++, Fortran, or Julia, and has experience mentoring technical teams and working with Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent advanced expertise in Materials Science.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, Fortran, or Julia is required.
• Experience reviewing scientific code and simulations.

Responsabilités

• Lead a team of 5–10 technical trainers for AI training tasks.
• Develop and review scientific tasks for technical accuracy.
• Ensure reproducibility and quality of scientific code and research outputs.
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance.
• Analyze simulations and evaluate results for scientific integrity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine training materials.
• Document processes and findings for future reference.
