Job summary

BGTS International is building a freelance Data Scientist talent pool for upcoming project-based assignments. This is not a continuous full-time position; we seek experienced Data Scientists available to support us on a project-by-project basis, with assignments roughly 1-2 weeks, and longer when needed.

You'll work on advanced analytics across sports and physical activity, including pricing, demand modelling, forecasting and other predictive tasks.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a Data Analytics or Data Science role, preferably with pricing, demand modelling or forecasting.
• Proficiency in Python, R and/or SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Professional level of English.
• Availability for short-term, project-based freelance assignments when needed.
• Experience with geospatial data and spatial analysis techniques (e.g. ArcGIS).
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.
• Experience in stakeholder-facing or consulting environments.
• Familiarity with reproducible analytical workflows and version control (e.g. Git).
• Innovative mindset with interest in emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support project-based analytics across the sports and physical activity sector.
• Apply ML/AI methods to extract insights from large datasets.
• Collaborate with clients to discuss scope, availability, timeline and hourly rates.
• Develop models for supply and demand, pricing, forecasting and other predictive tasks.
