Job summary

VidRush, an AI-native video production platform, seeks a backend engineer to scale its serverless TypeScript/Node.js backend. You will own features end-to-end, tackle challenges in video pipelines, AI integrations, and billing, and influence architecture for core workflows.

You will work with AWS serverless, MongoDB, Stripe, and modern test/CI practices, while maintaining code quality and collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on AWS in a serverless context.
• Solid experience with MongoDB or other document databases.
• Experience with Stripe or similar payment platforms.
• Familiarity with serverless frameworks (SST, Serverless Framework).
• Experience writing unit and integration tests with Jest.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and middleware patterns.
• Comfortable with Git workflows, CI/CD, and code quality tooling.
• Specialization in Stripe, subscriptions, usage-based billing, invoicing, and production-scale billing operations.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver backend features end-to-end, from API design through deployment.
• Solve problems across video generation pipelines, AI integrations, and billing systems.
• Shape the architecture of services powering core product workflows.
• Contribute to a codebase focused on long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with the team on technical decisions and code reviews.
