Project Engineer – End-to-End Defence Systems

Job summary

TEDEG Defence is seeking a Project Engineer for our İvedik campus in Ankara. You will own full project life cycle, bridge technical teams and customer needs, and drive delivery from contract to field completion.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams, managing schedules, and coordinating ERP-based processes across design, production, procurement, quality and test. Travel within Türkiye and abroad is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial)
• 2+ years in project engineering or project management
• Experience in defence/aerospace or similarly regulated industries preferred
• Ability to manage project, order and material processes through ERP systems
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and ability to interpret specs/SOW/contract docs
• Willingness to learn MIL-STD standards and related MIL-SPECs
• Strong planning, organisation and follow-up skills with clear accountability
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and coordinate cross-functional teams
• Strong customer relationship and communication skills with ability to translate IT/technical topics
• Willingness to spend time in field, production and testing environments
• Willingness to travel within Türkiye and abroad
• Holds a Class B driving licence and is actively driving
• Male candidates: military service completed, exempt or deferred

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, requirements and SOW to identify deliverables
• Build and maintain project schedules with milestones and WBS
• Assign tasks to functional units and track progress
• Open projects, issue work orders in the ERP system
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (design, production, procurement, QA, test)
• Lead project meetings and report to senior management
• Coordinate customer communications, change requests and feedback
• Prepare engineering reports and ensure timely deliveries
• Ensure documentation aligns with certification and verification plans
• Identify risks early and propose mitigations
• Monitor supplier/subcontractor progress and data integrity
