Job summary

Hilbert is building a reasoning engine that navigates non-deterministic user behavior across data silos, turning months‑long decision cycles into minutes. You will own core AI stack pieces from prototype to production, shaping agent architectures, evaluation systems, and production tradeoffs.

As an AI Engineer, you will ship fast in evolving specs, communicate decisions clearly, and collaborate with the founding team to push Hilbert's demand intelligence platform toward real enterprise impact

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production software engineering with APIs, services and data infra.
• 2+ years building LLM or agent systems in production.
• Hands on with LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate architectural decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the evaluation layer for agents: harnesses, metrics and datasets.
• Architect and implement agent workflows with memory, routing and recovery.
• Maintain production systems: tracing, latency, cost per task and on-call.
• Diagnose production failures and turn them into durable fixes and tests.
• Set technical standards for agent work across Hilbert.
