Job summary

each::labs is seeking a Product Owner to translate user requests into shippable features. You’ll sit between customers and engineering, own the backlog, write one-page specs, and run planning to ensure what is shipped solves real problems.

Most of the team operates from Istanbul; you’ll work with a small product group to impact the next set of developer platform features and API enhancements in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Product Owner/PM for developer platforms, APIs or SDKs.
• Can read code, call an API and understand why something is slow.
• Clear writing so someone doesn’t need a meeting to understand it.
• Experience in agile teams and keeping the parts that help.

Responsibilities

• Own the backlog, write the specs, plan sprints.
• Bridge customer needs with engineering to deliver solutions.
• Define success by outcomes and measure impact of releases.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, with overlap in Istanbul time.

Job Overview

Every week, our support threads, sales calls and Slack fill up with requests. Some are bugs in disguise. Some are the next big feature. Most are somewhere in between.

Someone needs to read all of it, find the pattern, and give engineering something they can build by Thursday.

At each::labs, our mission is to close the imagination gap.

each::labs is one API across 600+ image, video, audio and 3D models, with routing, fallback and predictable costs built in. 20,000+ developers use it. Our product team is small, so this role has a big impact on what those developers get next.

The role

You'll sit between customers and engineering, and you'll make both sides' lives easier. You'll own the backlog, write the specs, run planning, and then check whether what we shipped actually solved the problem.

You'll work closely with our engineering team. Most of us work from Istanbul, so you'll be in the same rhythm.

What a Week Might Look Like

• Monday: read every support thread from last week and find the three things that keep coming up
• Tuesday: two customer calls, one usage dashboard, one uncomfortable conclusion
• Wednesday: write the spec, keep it to one page.
• Thursday: planning with engineering, and a few hard "not now"s
• Friday: see what shipped and whether anyone used it

• Your writing is clear enough that nobody has to schedule a meeting to understand it
• You've worked in agile teams and kept the parts that actually help
