The Team
All brands strategy, product development and innovation are led and driven by Supply Value Chain, relevant to NA, EU and other International Markets (IM). The position in this job description helps the above mentioned PVH related parties meet their operating and strategic needs.
The Position
The Product Integrity Technician is responsible for safeguarding PVH products through the effective application of Product Integrity principles, ensuring products are compliant, safe, fit for purpose, and aligned with PVH Global Quality Manual (GQM) requirements. The role partners closely with brands, divisions, supply chain teams, vendors, laboratories, and other external stakeholders to identify, assess, mitigate, and accelerate potential product risks throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure products comply with applicable global, regional, and market-specific regulations, e.g. US CPSC, EU GPSR, China GB, Korea KC, Japan JIS...etc.
- Implement regulatory compliance and assess potential impacts on PVH products and processes.
- Provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders regarding regulatory requirements, e.g. flammability, fiber content analysis...etc.
Product Safety
- Evaluate product safety risks across materials, trims, and finished goods.
- Support implementation of preventive measures to ensure consumer safety and regulatory compliance against GQM.
- Investigate product safety concerns and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Product Labeling
- Review and validate care, content, and other mandatory labeling requirements against PVH fiber rules and GQM.
- Ensure labeling accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations and PVH standards.
Chemical Management
- Drive compliance with PVH/AFIRM Restricted Substances List (RSL) on materials, trims & components, and product wet processing.
- Partner with suppliers, laboratories, and cross-functional teams to manage chemical risks and remediation activities.
- Support supplier capability building through training and technical guidance.
Global Testing Protocol Management
- Execute and govern testing requirements in accordance with GQM.
- Manage test failure in testing platform.
- Interpret test results and provide risk-based recommendations.
- Collaborate with testing laboratories and stakeholders to ensure consistent execution of testing protocols.
Risk Assessment and Risk Mitigation
- Lead risk assessment activities for materials, trims, and finished products throughout product development and production.
- Utilize established Product Integrity risk assessment process flows and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Product Integrity attributes at style level to identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential risks.
- Assess product risks associated with product design, material selection, chemical composition, manufacturing processes, labeling, testing performance, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive proactive mitigation plans and monitor effectiveness through development, commercialization, and production stages.
Escalation and Stakeholder Engagement
- Execute effective escalation processes for identified Product Integrity risks and non-compliance situations.
- Engage brands, divisions, supply cross-functional teams, sourcing offices, vendors, suppliers, testing laboratories, and external stakeholders to facilitate timely resolution.
- Provide clear risk communication, technical recommendations, and decision-support information to enable informed business decisions.
Continuous Improvement
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Product Integrity processes, standards, and operating procedures.
- Support development and deployment of Product Integrity tools, standards, and best practices.
- Deliver training and capability-building initiatives to internal teams and external partners.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen product compliance, safety, quality, and risk management performance.
Requirements
- Academic background in Textile Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years of working on risk assessment, color, and testing or equivalent working experience
- Good English speaking and communication
- Good computer software application skill, e.g. EXCEL, WORD etc.
- Good knowledge with major manufacture process of Textile, especially the area in dyeing chemistry.
- Ability to influence internal and external resources for exploring newness for the brand.
- Demonstrates strong awareness of both anticipated and unforeseen risks (“white and black swan” events), taking a proactive approach to identifying potential challenges and mitigation opportunities.
