Qualifications
  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering fields such as; Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering
  • At least 8+ years of Supply Chain/ Technical Procurement experience (Preferably in Aviation)
  • Knowledge and experience in supply chain management (Preferably in the Aviation)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, machining, composite materials, and vacuum forming
  • Ability to understand the properties of components and their use in the Aviation
  • Good command of English (technical and communication)
  • Good supplier management skills, negotiation ability and contract management experience
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Mastery of MS Office applications
Responsibilities
  • Understanding and interpreting the product specifications reported by the Project team required for design and development activities
  • Search for domestic/foreign supply sources for these products
  • Having an analytical approach to cost and timing issues
  • Taking an active role in realizing the projects within the cost and timing targets
  • Managing the procurement processes of components and materials in aviation projects
  • Taking an active role in supply chain planning and analyzing material request
  • Managing the supplier network in the aviation industry and finding new suppliers
  • Making supplier evaluations on pricing, quality and delivery times of components
  • Follow-up of supplier evaluations regarding pricing, quality and delivery times of components in communication with the Supplier Technical Assurance (STA) Department
  • Effectively managing purchasing processes by using ERP programs (preferably AXAPTA)
  • Negotiating prices with suppliers, determining contract terms and concluding agreements
  • Optimizing material stock and monitoring inventory management processes
  • Searching for alternatives that can replace the needed components
  • Sharing technical department quality requirements with suppliers according to company procedures
  • Providing coordination by cooperating with internal teams in project processes
