Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • For future models and ongoing production line projects of Engines and Powertrains:
  • Ensuring the production of engines/transmissions at the desired capacity by applying the Ford Production System on manufacturing lines, following defined processes and quality metrics.
  • Designing and commissioning layout changes and station placements.
  • Implementing efficiency projects.
  • Designing and commissioning special machines, fixtures, and apparatus.
  • Monitoring product quality metrics and implementing quality improvements.
  • Supervising the operation of plant procedures.
  • Conducting capacity analyses and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Implementing process error prevention systems.
  • Leading project manufacturing steps according to GPDS project milestones.
  • Participating in Whiteboard and AIMS processes as per GPDS project milestones and creating solutions related to assembly and machining processes.
  • Ensuring manufacturability of products in line with Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost, and Environmental targets.
  • Commissioning new products and processes in the plant.
  • Managing pre-acceptance and acceptance processes for devices, machines, fixtures, equipment, and tools required for manufacturing, and commissioning them according to plant standards.
  • Conducting PFMEA studies for new manufacturing processes.
  • Identifying layout plans, fixture/equipment needs, preparing investment plans, and commissioning in line with these plans.
  • Preparing technical specifications for required investments, managing APEX processes, commissioning, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
  • Coordinating with PTME teams.
  • Conducting DPA5 studies for assembly processes and machinability studies for machining processes with PTME/PD teams.
  • Defining process flows for workstations, preparing/revising operation sheets, and ensuring the creation of control plans.
  • Supervising QPS and risk analyses prepared by field personnel based on defined operation sheets.
  • Monitoring lines with PJO and T-Card applications and tracking the resolution of identified non-conformities through the PTTR system.
  • Collaborating with relevant teams for outsourced or in-house projects.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 16949 standards.
  • Understanding of Automotive Production and Manufacturing Methods (Assembly and Machining).
  • Familiarity with Commissioning Processes (PFMEA, Control Plans, Operation Sheets, etc.).
  • Proficiency in problem-solving techniques (8D, 6-Sigma, 5W+1H, Fishbone Diagram, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronics, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, etc.).
  • Strong quality and customer focus skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • English proficiency (C1 level).
  • Familiarity with agile working principles.
  • Experience in machinery commissioning.
  • Open to change and willing to contribute to teamwork.
