At Özyeğin University, we invite expressions of interest from researchers seeking to develop an interdisciplinary postdoctoral research project in the field of urban transitions. The position addresses the social, political, economic, environmental and technological processes that shape change across urban contexts and their connections with regional and rural systems.
The call is intentionally interdisciplinary. Applicants are encouraged to develop focused research questions grounded in their own theoretical, empirical and methodological expertise. Qualitative, quantitative and mixed-methods approaches are welcome. Research engaging with AI and data-driven approaches is also welcome; AI expertise is not a prerequisite.
Opportunities for collaboration include joint publications and the development of competitive national and international research proposals, including Horizon Europe and other EU programmes. Collaborative research may involve municipalities and other public authorities, companies and SMEs, cooperatives, civil-society organisations, communities and other relevant stakeholders.
The fellowship is hosted under the Özyeğin University Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme, subject to the programme's eligibility, evaluation and funding conditions.
