Design Office Chief
We are seeking a Design Office Chief to be assigned to a large-scale logistics warehouse project at Assan Yapı, a company active in residential, mixed-use, logistics and industrial developments.
The position will be based at the on-site project office and will be responsible for coordinating the design office and managing multi-disciplinary design processes, including architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, infrastructure and landscape disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and report on the daily workflow and deliverables of the design team
- Coordinate between architects, engineers and consultant teams; lead and attend site meetings
- Monitor construction application and execution documents and manage their distribution for site implementation
- Prepare construction and execution-related details (including revisions when required) and coordinate with the Architect / Engineer of Record; ensure these details are fully incorporated into as-built documentation
- Prepare and manage the production of shop drawings, including detailed shop drawing design and coordination with material and equipment suppliers, as required.
- Ensure effective implementation of BIM and digital design workflows
- Carry out data entry and coordination for site-related BIM processes and prepare related reports
- Provide regular and structured reports to the management team and deliver design outputs in line with project objectives
- Maintain effective communication with the client, consultants and contractors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in architectural design and implementation projects
- Proven experience in both design office and site office environments
- Experience in industrial facilities or warehouse projects (design and/or execution) is preferred
- Strong background in design process management, team leadership and coordination
- Proficiency in BIM-based software (Revit, Navisworks, etc.), AutoCAD and MS Office; experience in site-based BIM processes is a plus
- Fluent in English
