On behalf of our private client, we are seeking a live-in British Nanny / English Teacher (Governess) for their fully staffed household in the vibrant city of Istanbul.

This is a warm, welcoming family offering an excellent long-term opportunity for the right candidate.

The role focuses on educational support and English language development, rather than general childcare. The family employs a full-time Nanny for the toddler and a separate caretaker for the daily routines and logistics of the two older children. The Governess will therefore concentrate on creating a structured, engaging, and English-speaking learning environment across all three children.

The family prefers bilingual tutors (English/French or English/Spanish).

Accommodation: Private ensuite room on a separate floor within the family home

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided by the family

Candidate Requirements

• Native British English speaker (or equivalent fluency)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Nanny, Governess, or Early Childhood Educator
• Strong background in child development, early learning, or teaching
• Professional, nurturing, and proactive personality with a passion for education
• Able to coordinate with multiple household staff and hands-on parents
• Flexible, discreet, and comfortable in a dynamic family environment

Hours of work: 5 days per week, including Saturday up to 10 hours per day, (flexible schedule).

Occasional travel with the family to Europe, the UK, or other destinations may be requested.
