We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our team. This is a high-impact role, working closely with our leadership and product teams to ensure that our business grows responsibly, compliantly, and with strong legal foundations across multiple jurisdictions.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Advice: Deliver clear, pragmatic, and actionable legal counsel to internal stakeholders on contract frameworks, regulatory risks, and potential liabilities.
- Draft & Review Legal Documents: Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and legal documents.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Executive Team, Finance, HR, and Administrative teams to ensure legal alignment across the organization. Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills by effectively communicating legal requirements, conducting regular follow-ups, and coordinating with multiple internal and external parties to drive legal initiatives forward.
- Regulatory Guidance: Provide legal counsel for both domestic and international operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Focus on e-commerce regulations including consumer protection laws, electronic commerce laws, and cross-border trade compliance.
- Compliance Project Management: Personally lead and execute legal compliance projects from inception to completion, including regulatory assessments, policy implementations, and remediation initiatives.
- Liaison Role: Act as the bridge between external law firms and internal departments, ensuring smooth and effective collaboration.
Who You Are
- LL.B. from a reputable university; bar admission in Turkey.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, global environment. Experience in e-commerce, technology, or digital business models is a plus.
- Strong background in Contract Law, Compliance, Data Protection, International Trade, and Labor Law.
- Proven track record of personally managing and executing legal compliance projects, with strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Fluency in English (written & spoken), with confidence working in international legal contexts.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
