EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead .NET Developer to join as a Forward Deployed Engineer. You will work directly with clients and cross-functional teams to design, build, deploy, and iterate on AI-enabled solutions.

You will drive backend development and AI integration across the AI Software Development Life Cycle, with focus on REST APIs, scalability, and security. This role requires leadership, mentoring, and strong communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a lead or senior role in .NET development.
• Strong background in C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
• Proven experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Experience delivering AI-enabled software with SDLC lifecycle.
• Ability to work directly with clients and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and define solution architecture.
• Design, build, and deploy AI-enabled solutions using .NET technologies.
• Lead the implementation of business-critical features powered by AI.
• Contribute to all phases of the AI Software Development Life Cycle, including design, prompt engineering, model integration, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services.
• Ensure high code quality, scalability, and security in all deliverables.
• Mentor and guide team members on best practices and technical challenges.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in .NET and AI technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience implementing AI Software Development Life Cycle with maturity 2.5+
• Qualifications in solution design, prompt engineering, and model integration
• Familiarity with evaluation, monitoring, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI solutions
• Capability to work directly with clients and cross-functional teams
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements
• English proficiency at an advanced level
