We are now seeking a proactive and hands‑on On‑Site IT Specialist to be stationed at an industrial facility in Ceyhan, Adana, where Técnicas Reunidas is executing an EPC project – a large‑scale polypropylene production plant. The selected candidate will provide first‑level technical support on‑site, ensuring seamless operation of all IT systems and infrastructure throughout the project's lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Provide first‑level IT support to project personnel, subcontractors, and client representatives at the site, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network‑related issues on‑site, escalating critical problems when necessary.
- Offer support for corporate systems, emails, remote access tools, and other standard applications used by TR.
- Set up, install, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and audiovisual devices across site offices and project units.
- Carry out urgent changes, software installations, updates, and patching as required by project and security needs.
- Assist with the deployment and movement of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
- Monitor local network performance and report or resolve connectivity issues in collaboration with the corporative IT team.
- Support telecom setup and configuration (internet lines, routers, switches) in remote or site‑based project areas.
- Help manage user access rights and security protocols, ensuring compliance with TR’s IT policies.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of IT equipment and tools on site.
- Document support activities, software configurations, and local procedures for future reference and handover.
- Assist in tracking IT consumables and coordinate requests for replacements.
- Coordinate with IT Managers and Site Managers to align on IT priorities.
- Participate in on‑site project meetings when required to report on IT matters or align on support tasks.
- Ensure compliance with TR standards for data security, confidentiality, and system use.
Requirements
- Degree or vocational training in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant IT support experience, preferably gained in construction sites, industrial projects, or similar field‑based environments.
- Strong hands‑on skills in hardware setup and troubleshooting (PCs, laptops, printers, audiovisual devices) and basic networking (routers, switches, cabling).
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and common enterprise applications.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, on‑site project environment.
- Full‑time physical availability on‑site; willingness to adapt to project dynamics and mobility within the construction area.
- High level of English proficiency (both written and spoken) to communicate effectively with international teams, vendors, and client representatives.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of IT security practices and data confidentiality standards.
Note: This is a full‑time, site‑based position located in Ceyhan, Adana. Candidates must be able to work on‑site daily and adapt to project‑based working conditions.
