Job description

We are looking for an HSSE Specialist to join our team in Kocaeli. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of effective Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies and initiatives, ensuring full compliance with company standards and legal requirements, and promoting a strong safety culture across all business operations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support the BU Manager and HSSE Director in planning, coordinating, and implementing effective HSSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company HSSE standards and legal requirements across all business areas.
• Conduct regular HSSE audits and risk assessments, ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
• Provide expert advice and support to other departments on all HSSE-related matters.
• Develop and implement HSSE plans that align with company policies, client requirements, and international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001).
• Promote HSSE awareness among employees, contractors, and clients through training, toolbox talks, and communication campaigns.
• Lead and document incident investigations, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
• Attend pre-job, planning, and client meetings to provide HSSE input and guidance.
• Support the establishment and maintenance of emergency response procedures and drills.
• Monitor, analyze, and report HSSE performance indicators, preparing regular management reports.
• Ensure all worksites remain compliant with HSSE requirements and company safety standards.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum C-Class HSE Certificate; a NEBOSH qualification will be considered an asset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a dedicated HSE role (such as HSE Engineer or HSE Specialist).
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Strong understanding of HSE legal requirements, industry best practices, and compliance standards.
• Fluent in both Turkish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Class B driver’s license required.
• Strong communication skills – able to listen actively, articulate ideas clearly, and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
