Qualifications

Position Overview

Head of Accounting and Finance – responsible for accurate financial records, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cost accounting. Works closely with senior leadership to support strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting functions—accounts payable, receivable, payroll, commissions, financial reporting and cost accounting.
• Ensure timely, accurate period/month‑end processes and managerial accounting tasks.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and other legal requirements.
• Manage relationships with internal and external auditors, authorities, financial institutions and regulatory agencies.
• Plan, control and implement the annual budgeting process.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports and accounts, including KPI reports, budgets and variance analysis.
• Lead financial planning and forecasting processes—budgeting, cash‑flow management and long‑term financial planning.
• Provide insights into key performance metrics and financial indicators to CEO and senior management.
• Supervise tax declarations to ensure compliance with guidelines set by authorities.
• Lead Teknopark tax declarations and project management.
• Monitor and analyze accounting and other financial processes to create a culture of continuous improvement, minimizing costs and inefficiencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or related fields (Master’s is an asset).
• At least 10 years of experience in accounting, finance and controlling roles.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CA, CFA or equivalent (asset).
• Sound knowledge of Turkish GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Canias preferred), advanced Excel, financial modeling and reporting.
• Knowledge of tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements.
• Background in Technopark regulations and tax implications.
• Experience in R&D and production processes.
• Strong communication skills.
• Very good English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
