Job summary

National Laboratory of the Rockies invites applications for a Graduate Fall Intern – Modeling and Analysis of Distributed Hybrid Energy Systems. The role designs and optimizes distributed hybrid energy systems, integrating generation, storage, and distribution with chemical end-uses. Real-time simulations with tools such as H2Integrate are expected.

The successful candidate will publish results, present at conferences, and assist with new proposals, with strong writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor’s or master’s program
• Eligible for an internship period of up to one year for recent grads

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize distributed hybrid energy systems.
• Run analyses and optimizations for varying plant sizes.
• Publish results in journals/conferences and present at sponsor meetings.
• Assist in developing new proposals and reviews.
