Job summary

Future Formative Technology seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to work fully remote from Türkiye. You will partner with customers to design, build, and deploy software solutions tailored to their needs, collaborating with product and engineering teams to understand requirements, architect back-end services, and implement reliable, maintainable code.

Day-to-day responsibilities include developing features, integrating APIs, troubleshooting production issues, and optimising system performance.

Qualifications

• Strong CS foundation including data structures, algorithms and design principles.
• Experience with software development in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, Go).
• Back-end API development, databases and service integration experience.
• Familiar with OOP concepts and production systems.
• Ability to gather customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and modern development workflows.
• Comfort with cloud environments and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong communication and willingness to learn in a remote team.

About the role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work full time in a remote capacity, partnering directly with customers to design, build, and deploy software solutions tailored to their needs. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements, architect back-end services, and implement reliable, maintainable code.

Day-to-day responsibilities include developing features, integrating APIs, troubleshooting production issues, and optimising system performance. You will gather feedback from stakeholders, translate it into technical tasks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. The role also involves documenting systems, sharing knowledge with teammates, and contributing to improvements in engineering practices and tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Software Development and Programming in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, Go, or similar).
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including building APIs, working with databases, and integrating services.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in production systems.
• Ability to work directly with customers, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
• Comfortable troubleshooting issues in distributed or cloud-based environments and collaborating asynchronously in a remote team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, commitment to inclusive teamwork, and a continuous learning mindset.
