Job summary

A leading financial services firm in Turkey is looking for a qualified accountant to assist in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and reports. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in the industrial sector. Strong proficiency in Excel and knowledge of accounting principles, including IFRS, is required. The role involves developing accounting policies and supporting audit processes, making strong analytical and problem-solving skills essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector.
• Audit background is preferred.
• CPA (SMMM) certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts, and report deviations from the plan
• Support the preparation of statutory and regulatory financial reports
• Play an active role in monthly and annual closing processes
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and reporting
• Develop and document accounting policies and internal control procedures
• Support both internal and external audit processes
• Preferably experienced in cost and financial control

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• Proficient in MS Office applications, with advanced knowledge of Excel
• Preferably has an audit background and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector
• Strong analytical thinking and planning skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Team player with strong problem-solving, decision-making, and initiative-taking abilities
• CPA (SMMM) certification is an asset
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and processes
• Good understanding of IFRS reporting; experience in cost and financial controlling is preferred
• Preferably experienced in accounting/ERP software such as SAP, with process management capabilities
