Job summary

Pragmatike is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to drive financial modeling and ROI analyses for a European AI infrastructure company. You will partner with commercial, operations and product teams to underpin investment decisions and present ROI to clients and partners.

You will own monthly reporting, analyze site profitability, and support budgeting and forecasting in a fast-growing, multi-country environment. Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or business finance in capex-intensive environments (infrastructure/energy/data centers).
• Excellent financial modeling skills (advanced Excel, ROI models, NPV/IRR, multi-scenario business plans).
• Ability to present and simplify complex financial analysis for non-financial audiences, including clients and partners.
• Solid understanding of cost and profitability mechanics of physical assets (capex, depreciation, operating costs, recurring revenue).
• Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and rigor in delivering finance outputs under time pressure.
• Fluent English (mandatory); working knowledge of French is a plus.
• Comfortable in a fast-growing environment with shifting priorities and limited established process.

Responsibilities

• Act as Finance Business Partner to the commercial, operations and product teams, providing financial analysis to key decisions.
• Build and maintain financial simulation models (business plans, unit economics per infrastructure unit, deployment scenarios).
• Model and present ROI and TCO of deployments to clients, supporting the commercial team during sales cycles.
• Own monthly financial reporting, profitability analysis by site/unit, and tracking of KPIs (margin, cash conversion, payback).
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, challenging operational assumptions with business teams.
• Analyze cost structure of manufacturing and deploying infrastructure units; identify optimization levers with production teams.
• Prepare financial materials for governance bodies and support due diligence for fundraising or asset financing.

Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing European deep-tech company building a sovereign, energy-efficient alternative to traditional hyperscale cloud providers. Our client is one of the very few companies in the sector to control the full value chain end to end flexible energy sourcing, modular data center infrastructure, and distributed orchestration software, delivered as one integrated AI compute platform. As part of its rapid growth, the company is strengthening the Finance team of its infrastructure division, which deploys modular micro data centers for cities, institutions, energy producers and enterprises.

Professional Background

We're looking for a senior Finance Business Partner who is equally comfortable working with internal operational and commercial teams and engaging directly with end clients. This is not a pure reporting role: you will build the financial models that underpin investment decisions, and you'll be confident presenting and defending ROI directly in front of a client or partner. Experience in a startup or hyper-growth environment, and/or in infrastructure, energy or capex-heavy industries (data centers, industrials, cleantech), is a strong plus. Autonomy, analytical rigor and ease with client-facing communication are essential.

Your Responsibilities

• Act as Finance Business Partner to the commercial, operations and product teams, bringing financial analysis to bear on their key decisions.
• Build and maintain financial simulation models (business plans, unit economics per infrastructure unit, deployment scenarios) to support the company's growth strategy.
• Model and present ROI and TCO of infrastructure deployments directly to clients (cities, institutions, energy producers, enterprises), supporting the commercial team throughout the sales cycle.

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and challenge operational assumptions in partnership with business teams.

What You Bring

• Proven senior-level experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or business finance, ideally in a capex-intensive environment (infrastructure, energy, industrials, telecom, data centers).
• Excellent financial modeling skills (advanced Excel, ROI models, NPV/IRR, multi-scenario business plans).
• Demonstrated ability to present and simplify complex financial analysis for non-financial audiences, including clients and partners.
• Solid understanding of the cost and profitability mechanics of physical assets (capex, depreciation, operating costs, recurring revenue).
• Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and rigor in producing finance deliverables under time pressure.
• Fluent English (mandatory, international working environment); working knowledge of French is a plus.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-growing environment with shifting priorities and limited established process.

Nice To Have

• Prior experience in AI infrastructure, cloud, data centers, or renewable energy.
• Familiarity with asset financing mechanisms (project finance, leasing, structured financing) applied to industrial equipment.
• Experience in a multi-entity / multi-country environment, with group-level consolidated reporting.
• Interest in BI and reporting automation tools (Power BI, SQL, scripting).
• Prior experience in consulting, investment banking, or private equity, with a focus on infrastructure or the energy transition.
