CACTUS is seeking an Editor to apply subject-matter expertise to refine research manuscripts for clarity, accuracy, and publication readiness. You will ensure discipline-specific accuracy and high-quality language across manuscripts intended for international journals.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Nuclear Medicine or Medical Physics (mandatory) with a strong first-author publication record and excellent English writing skills. Prior editing experience is advantageous.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and edit manuscripts to improve the clarity, coherence, and readability of scientific content while preserving the authors’ intended meaning.
• Ensure that subject-specific terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate, consistent, and appropriate for the target audience.
• Improve the presentation of complex research findings to enhance their communication and publication readiness.
• Edit manuscripts such that the final text meets the highest standards of academic writing, is free of unclear, illogical, or unidiomatic sentences. Adhere to job-specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to the target journal when required.

Qualifications and Prerequisites

• A PhD degree in Nuclear Medicine or Medical Physics (mandatory)
• Strong publication record, with 5–10 or more first-author publications (mandatory)
• Ability to critically assess study design, methodology, statistics, and interpretation
• Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate scientific content and ensure discipline-specific accuracy.
• Excellent written English and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in scientific editing or academic publishing is preferred.
