Job summary

OneSec is developing AI-powered delivery drones and seeks a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to own parts of airframe, propulsion integration, battery structure, and manufacturing approach. The role involves CAD design in SolidWorks, rapid prototyping, testing, and iteration.

You will collaborate with electrical, propulsion, and flight-control engineers, produce parts via 3D printing, CNC machining, and composites, and help prepare for an official world-record flight.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering approach with practical problem-solving.
• Experience translating CAD designs into manufacturable parts.
• Familiarity with lightweight structures and structural loads.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize the drone’s mechanical structure in SolidWorks.
• Reduce aircraft weight while maintaining strength and stiffness.
• Design mounts, enclosures, battery structures, landing components, and propulsion interfaces.
• Produce parts using 3D printing, CNC machining, composites, and rapid prototyping.
• Assemble, modify, and repair physical prototypes in the workshop.
• Conduct structural, vibration, endurance, and flight-related tests.
• Analyze failures and rapidly redesign components based on test results.
• Collaborate with electrical, propulsion, and flight-control engineers.
• Prepare the aircraft for an official world-record flight attempt.
