Job summary

Azure Integrity is seeking a Chief Remote Pilot to lead our flight operations and a growing team of remote pilots. You will oversee on-site flight teams, develop risk assessments, and ensure compliance with procedures across high-risk assets.

The role demands leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on experience with RPAS fleet maintenance in a dynamic environment. Based in Australia with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Significant, current UAV flight experience in a similar role.
• Experience flying UAVs in a variety of environmental conditions.
• 200+ hours of UAV flight time with asset inspections across industries.
• Current RePL licence and AROC certificate.
• Australian citizenship or right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead remote flight operations and manage on-site flight teams.
• Communicate operational updates to senior management.
• Create and evaluate Risk Assessment and Methodology Statements.
• Enforce organisational procedures and flight requirements.

Due to our expanding collection of clients projects, we are seeking expressions of interest from experienced and enthusiastic Chief Remote Pilot to join our team.

THE POSITION AND OPPORTUNITY

Our expanding operations team is seeking an experienced Chief Remote Pilot to lead our flight operations and our growing team of remote pilots.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the lead remote pilot responsible and accountable for commercial flight scopes
• To manage on-site flight teams during commercial flights
• Communicating operational updates to senior management
• The creation and evaluation of Risk Assesment and Methodology Statements
• Enforcing organisational procedures
• Defining and supporting the operational flight requirements of the business
• Providing inspired leadership of our growing team of remote pilots
• Managing the maintenance of our fleet of RPAS

Essential

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Significant, current experience in a similar role
• Experience flying UAVs in a variety of environmental conditions
• At least 200 hours of UAV flight time Experience in conducting asset inspections across a range of industries including oil and gas, power utilities, ports, mining and construction
• Current Remote Pilot Licence (RePL), preferably Multirotor up to
• Aeronautical Remote Operator Certificate (AROC) Licence
• Enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness to learn new skills quickly
• Excellent attention to detail, high levels of organisation, and ability to communicate effectively as part of a remote team

ADDITIONAL (would Be Beneficial But Not Absolutely Required):

• The ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience flying a Flyability Elios 3 in internal environments
• Experience working offshore would be an advantage
• Experience with photogrammetry or LiDAR data collection and interpretation
• Experience working in high-risk environments
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space Entry
• First Aid
• Current BOSIET/FOET and offshore medical
