Team Leader – Chemistry Laboratory

We are seeking a Team Leader with a strong chemical background to lead our Chemistry Laboratory team.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a university chemistry or chemical engineering program.
• Minimum of 7–8 years of laboratory experience and 4–5 years of managerial experience.
• Experience in laboratory testing (pH, formaldehyde, chromium(VI)).
• Proficient with UV‑VIS and HPLC‑DAD instruments.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 Quality Management System and laboratory accreditation processes; customer‑focused.
• Strong leadership, planning, organization, delegation, coordination, initiative, time and crisis management skills.
• Effective relationship management and teamwork capabilities.
• Analytical thinking skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Preferably residing in the European side of Istanbul.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure, maintain, monitor, and continuously improve the compliance of all activities in the Chemistry Laboratory with ISO 17025; conduct audits and identify necessary corrective actions.
• Monitor all regulations and test methods relevant to the Chemistry Laboratory; conduct feasibility studies and method adaptation.
• Conduct accreditation processes.
• Analyze efficiency in subordinate units, plan and implement initiatives such as 5S and Lean Management, and ensure sustainability.
• Prepare periodic reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all laboratory activities.
