Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a remote research specialist to review AI-generated phylogenetics problems, assess scientific accuracy, realism, and grading quality.

You will provide detailed annotations and feedback, collaborate with AI research teams, and apply phylogenetics expertise to support frontier model development. Availability: start immediately, ~15–20 hours in the coming days, with 8 hours per day and at least 4 hours overlap with PST.

Requirements

• Master's/PhD in Phylogenetics, Evolutionary Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Computational Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field, OR 4+ years of professional experience in Phylogenetics.
• Strong scientific reasoning, analytical, and research skills.
• Ability to provide detailed feedback and high-quality annotations.
• Excellent structured communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to start immediately and commit approximately 15 20 hours over the next few days.
• Availability for 8 hours per day with at least 4 hours of overlap with PST.
