Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend experience.
• Strong data modeling and API design skills.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and migrations.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and data privacy.
• Experience testing, deploying, monitoring and debugging services.
• AI-first mindset and ability to review AI-assisted code.
• Careful handling of credentials and data when using AI tools.
• Clear communication and learning our stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain APIs and backend services for games and internal studio workflows.
• Model player, game and operational data with clear contracts and access boundaries.
• Build and optimize relational data models, migrations, indexes and queries.
• Implement auth and secure data access for products.
• Collaborate with Unity and frontend developers on service integration and API evolution.
• Support live operations, analytics and studio tools via integrations and data flows.
• Develop tests, observability and deployment workflows to ease operations.
• Use AI assistants to research, implement, debug and document work.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews and documentation.
