Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. Istanbul Design Center seeks a Layout Design Engineer to join the GMSL SerDes group, developing high-speed IC layouts for automotive and infotainment applications.

You will work with analog/mixed-signal teams to deliver layouts using Cadence Virtuoso XL and Calibre, driving performance and reliability for tapeouts. The role emphasizes collaboration with global design teams, understanding tradeoffs, and delivering high-quality layouts on schedule.

Qualifications

• BSEE with specialization in IC Design (VLSI) required.
• Experience in semiconductors and layout design preferred.
• Proficiency in high-speed analog/mixed-signal layouts and verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Layout design of owned blocks with Cadence Virtuoso XL.
• Block-level layout verification with Calibre.
• Collaborate with design engineers to meet tapeout-ready requirements and tradeoffs.
• Write clear JIRA/footprint tickets and coordinate with EDA teams.

Job Description At Analog Devices Automotive Cabin Experience Istanbul Design Center, you will be able to work together with a global team, who has designed and introduced many successful products that won sockets from top car makers in Europe, Asia and the USA. We, as GMSL SerDes group, are developing integrated circuits for are automotive and high-speed serial data communications for next generation safety and infotainment systems and autonomous vehicles. As a Layout Design Engineer, you will be part and member of analog/mixed-signal design team, and have opportunity to work with analog design, digital design, engineering teams to work on leading edge complex mixed-signal integrated circuits developed in GMSL SerDes group utilizing Bulk CMOS and FinFet process technologies. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is willing to have an understanding of complex integrated circuit layouts and work in collaboration with various teams within GMSL group. You will play a key role in high-speed analog/mixed-signal IC layout.

Main responsibilities are:

• Working on layout design of owned blocks with Cadence Virtuoso XL.
• Working on block level layout verification with Calibre.
• Working with design engineers to understand the technical challenges and tradeoffs by delivering high-performance and high-quality layouts on schedule with high rate of productivity in developing IC design requirements and specifications and helping them finalizing their circuit design towards tapeout
• Working with EDA engineers by writing clear JIRA/footprint tickets and follow up through the resolution.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• BSEE graduate with specialization in IC Design (VLSI)
• Experience in semiconductors and layout design is preferred.
• High speed and low power Analog IC Layout and Verification experience is a plus.
• Good understanding of theoretical semiconductor physics with a practical understanding of layout design is a plus.
• Experience in high speed mixed-signal IC layouts like PLL’s, transmitter and receivers is a plus
• Experience in Cadence/Virtuoso IC layout tools and Calibre or other verification tools.
• Good Communication in English and teamwork skills
